BACKGROUND
ALL London hosts webinars for the MFL community and this webinar, held in a Zoom room, is open to all MFL teachers. We hope that you will like us and want to join!
We thank the presenters, who give freely of their time and expertise.
ALL London has hosted over 60 webinars coordinated by Joe Dale since March 2020, led by people who have generously and expertly shared their ideas and their experience of using technology to teach at a distance. Linguascope has also hosted superb webinars, with less of a focus on technology. To refresh your memory, take a look at these links:
In response to the announcement of a further ‘lockdown’ we are organising further online sessions when teachers can continue to share strategies which work for them. We would like to stress that these do not have to be ‘new’ or original. We are really interested in what you have found works best for you.
MICROSOFT TEAMS
We have already hosted brilliant webinars which cover pretty much everything you need to know about setting up and using Class Notebook,
These are the PAST webinars which cover everything you need to know:
- The Paperless classroom. How can digital learning improve Teaching and Learning? Sandra Aktas
- ‘How to sharpen your Microsoft tools and related apps for teaching and learning!’ Part 1 -Jane Basnett
- ‘How to sharpen your Microsoft tools and related apps for teaching and learning!’ – Part 2– Jane Basnett
In additon, the team has recorded mini videos to demoinstrate their own practice and these video links are being curacted by Jerome in theis Wakelet: Wakelet link to videos from Jerome
But we know that many people really appreciate the chance to meet practitioners ‘live’ so that they can put questions directly, and tease out where there may be any problems / misunderstandings – just as any learners do!
So we are offering a space where MFL teachers using Microsoft Teams can meet as often as is needed to share experience. The sessions will generally not be recorded in order to make it as easy as possible for people to contribute and ask questions freely.
RECOMMENDED FACEBOOK GROUPS / TWITTER HASHTAGS
Facebook users may want to consider joining a big, friendly, positive and constructive group of MFL teachers coming together to share teaching tips and resources for Teams teaching managed by Jennie OReilly-Turner https://www.facebook.com/groups/mflofficetips
