Language World conference and exhibition 2005
Event Detail
The Association for Language Learning is delighted to announce that
the 2005 Language World conference and exhibition will take place at the
University of Kent at Canterbury between 1-3 July.
The University's main campus covers 300 acres and is just over a mile
from Canterbury's city centre, which has excellent transport links -
London is only 90 minutes away by rail.
The theme for Language World 2005 is 'Creating opportunities', and there
will be a wide range of talks, workshops and plenary sessions on the
latest developments and innovations in language teaching to keep you
fully informed on all that's happening in the world of languages.
Alongside the conference will be the UK's largest exhibition of language
teaching resources and equipment, running on 1-2 July. A full programme
for the event will be available in spring 2005.
Here are some comments from delegates at this year's Language World
conference:
| I just loved every minute of it
| At a time when languages are under threat in KS4, gone in KS5 in
many schools, the Language World conference is essential not least
to re-motivate the standard FL teacher
| Thank you everyone for another excellent three days. I feel I get
full value from all the sessions; a real re-charging of batteries
and raising of morale
| I found the whole event very friendly, supportive and the advice
and help I received are much appreciated
| I have really enjoyed this conference. Thank you very much
| The venue proved ideal and the event exceeded expectations |
