French Embassy Event March 2008Our good friends at the French Embassy , who subsidised and attended our successful French Event, are holding a FREE event (with the chance of cover being paid) to celebrate La Journée Mondiale de la Francophonie. The programme looks fantastic and is bound to appeal to teacher from any sector. You will also have the opportunity to meet Michel Monsauret and Jean-Philippe Bottin who impressed us all with their intelligence and sense of humour! In order to contribute to the celebration of the Journée Mondiale de la Francophoniethe cultural department of the French Embassy organizes an event dedicated to the different incentives that can be implemented in schools to attract pupils towards the learning of foreign languages.20 March 2008 From 9.30am (beginning 10.00am) Videoconferencing and the teaching of a foreign language (TDA) The virtual class (CTLI) France-United-Kingdom (TDA) Short films and the teaching of French (BFI) Drama as a pedagogical and linguistic tool (NYT) The training zone for Key Stage 2 languages (CILT) On display: the partners’ material and publication.End of the day: 4.00pm.
