ENGAGING TOPICS FOR LANGUAGE LEARNERS - Neil Jones, Assistant Head, The Elliott School, Putney, shares some inspiring practice which has revolutionised the way pupils are engaged with MFL through a focus on interesting content . There will be ideas and handouts which everyone can use in their own situation.

LEARNING LANGUAGES THE HOCKERILL WAY Mike Ullmann, ‘Teacher of the Year and Head of the Languages College at Hockerill Anglo-European College, tells us about the successful practice which has earned him his prestigious award, including using the target language, aspects of methodology, trips and exchanges, curricular innovation - the International Baccalauréat, videoconferencing with Nottingham and further afield, the Bilingual Section and global citizenship including his work in Romania and Rwanda. Handouts too!

As coffee and biscuits will be provided at the break, and wine will be served after the event, it would be very helpful to know how many people are intending to attend. To cut down costs and administration time, we won’t send confirmation unless you particularly ask for it. If you need any more information please ask. Thanks.

Please note that we deliberately keep down the cost of courses by subsidising them from ALL funds: we feel that members ought to receive value for the money paid in subscription fees to the Association. Fees charged do not, in any way, reflect the quality of courses offered! NQTs and PGCE students: Consider joining to save your pennies (& pounds) / euros (?) later!
