day! Come along to a 'hands-on'
experience
of a wide range of practical ideas and activities in which technology can
support language learning in and outside school, however much or little access
you have to equipment and resources. There
will be something for everyone! (all sectors - all ages - all abilities - all
languages) and we especially welcome
Primary teachers and TEFL friends from all over the world! Free
coffee and buffet lunch thanks to our Sponsor, 'Sanako'.
We will be accommodated in 2 computer rooms (each fitted with 34
computers with access to a wide range of software) and a classroom with wifi

Very easy access to 2 nearby stations - Dorking Mainline or
Dorking Deepdene- 5 minutes' walk from the stations.
50 minutes on a stopping train from Waterloo or Victoria. Direct trains
to Guildford (20 minutes) and Reading (1 hour) (so avoiding need to go via
London) BY PLANE:
25 minutes on a direct train from Gatwick BY CAR:
10 minutes from M25 Junction 9 turn off for Leatherhead (Saturday less busy!)

exact programme will be arranged when we have final numbers, but core activities

Using published resources (popular ICT-based courses both
commercial and free) ·
Creating your own resources (audio, video, text) ·
Tapping ICT for engaging and culture-enhancing activities ·
Stimulating independent language learning ·
Using mobile devices (phones, pads) in and outside the classroom
(workshop led by Joe Dale) ·
A chance to 'play' in the last session and try out ideas
introduced in earlier sessions PLEASE NOTE: To cut down costs and administration time, we won’t send confirmation
