ALL London branch
Last update: 27/05/2012
Director of CILT, (seen here presented with a gift from the committee in recognition of his support for the branch both morally and nutritionally), Peter Boaks retired in September 2004, but continued to work for and on behalf of languages within ALL. It was with great sadness that we learnt of his death in September 2005. We shall always remember him as a great friend of the branch.
Excerpts from tributes paid to Peter Boaks by members of the ALL London branch committee, past and present:
‘a valuable member of ALL and a worthy person’
‘he really was a friend of the branch.’
how very sad...
It is indeed very sad news.
Peter was a long-serving member of the LRB committee and had supported us so well for many years. Such a lovely gentleman and so kind –
such a lovely, talented, man.
Peter was a really really great chap...I liked his humour - very dry at times - and he was such a key person in CILT and all aspects of language teaching...I'll really miss him not seeing him around...
It is awfully sad to lose a great person like Peter who was such an enthusiastic supporter of the branch.
