Video/Audio downloads for free!
Many sites offer free audio / video
which you can play back individually or with your class. Language resources are
available either as 'education' resources or 'authentic'. Encourage
learners to get them for themselves!
Here's a collection of sites we've
looked at which as well as being programmes to which you can subscribe, can be
downloaded direct from their sites. They are grouped by (1) language (2)
type (i.e. 'education' or 'authentic'). These sites include podcasts,
simple downloads etc

An engaging Podcast featuring a variety of elements: vocabulary,
phrases, books, video vocabulary and book/film reviews. A nice
feeling of 'community'.
Satellite French news channel - News bulletins with really helpful
'subtitles' in French. The files need to be played through QuickTime
Video + subtitles + translations available on website. A whacky
way to learn German e.g. Ubel Knubels Welt - story apparently random - but
in fact cleverly introducing and repeating common expressions. Could
really inspire imitation I think!

Free Audio files. Paid subscribers (10$ a month) can access
Beginner and Intermediate level. Short texts or dialogues lasting
about 10 minutes per programme, spoken at different speeds, repeated and
translated word for word. Ideal for the keen adult learner (like Helen
with Coffee Break Spanish.

Fantastic course with teacher Mark Pentleton + Kara. Mark is a
regular 'ALL' speaker and gives superb talks about best use of
technology. He covers langauge and culture in this relaxed, well
thought-out series of programmes.
